What can you do with YouCooks?
You can create, save, share and play your recipes from a mobile device as you cook, YouCooks boasts a cutting edge instant-search feature that performs precision instant-searches on a real-time-updated database of millions of recipes retrieving results from it before your eyes, even as you type in the search terms.
How do I create a new recipe?
Either modify an existing recipe and save it under a new name (easiest), or click on “Clean Slate” and enter it from scratch. Either way, you must save it with a unique new name.
How do I erase a recipe?
There is no need to erase a recipe. Just unshare it by clicking the “Toggle” link when browsing all your recipes. It will fade into your history in time and stop showing up in your personal inventory. It will stop showing up in community searches immediately after you unshare it.
Can I change the name of my recipe?
Recipes are identified by their name and owner. So the only way to change the name of a recipe is to save it under a new name and “unshare” the old one.
Is there an autosave feature?
Not yet. But it’s a great suggestion. We’re working on it.
Can I upload a a pic or video of my recipe?

Can I link to urls from my recipe steps or items list?

Sometimes, when I click on a community recipe link that was forwarded to me, it takes me to the home page. What happened to that recipe?
That recipe was likely unshared by its owner. The Community Browse-all section gives a full list of all publicly viewable recipes at any time.
